This was a very interesting project to be involved with. We were asked by our client to build a scaffold to the grade 2 listed boathouse which sits next to the river Thames. For a complete new roof and redecoration works to all the wooden surfaces. Because of the location to river and surrounding environment every precaution was taken to minimise debris contaminating the surrounding area. The works were carried out during the peak summer time so the public visiting the grounds and taking rides along the river had to be taken in to consideration when planning this project. Carrying out these works during the winter would have meant building a temporary roof to protect the boathouse from the elements this would have greatly increased the cost to our client and the cliveden estate. Which we wanted to avoid ensuring that the project stayed within budget. All works completed to the programme with no interruption to the guests visiting the estate.
